Journal of Veterinary Research Advances

Objectives of the journal

The Journal of Veterinary Research Advances is an international, peer-reviewed and OPEN ACCESS journal which is published biannually. The aim of Journal of Veterinary Research Advances is to improve and expand knowledge in the field of veterinary science. Research papers on a wide range of veterinary science related topics are published in the Journal of Veterinary Research Advances after being evaluated by peer reviewers.

    Types of contribution

  1. Full paper (original article): A full paper covers all aspect of report and the results of original research required for the precise description and interpretation of the work.
  2. Review article: Review article is written by scholar(s) and expert(s) in the field who has (have) already published at least 5 research papers on the same subject. In the review article, the results of published research are closely evaluated, merit and demerits are stated and suggestions for further improvement are to be provided. The editor of Journal of Veterinary Research Advances welcomes review articles; however, preliminary discussion with the editor regarding the subject and length of the article is advisable before submission.
  3. Short communication: Short communications are intended to rapidly communicate novel ideas and results in new and developing areas of veterinary sciences, but are limited in the level of performed investigations and are not good enough stuff to fill the requirements of a full paper. Short communications may be submitted to Journal of Veterinary Research Advances as such, or may result from a request to condense a regular paper during the review process.
  4. Scientific report: These articles deal with important issues to researchers/clinicians in all areas of veterinary science. These types of articles include a title page, summary, case presentation, results, discussion and references sections.
  5. Letter to editor: Letters on all topics related to the science and Veterinary practice would be considered for publication. The length should not usually exceed 350 words and may be shortened for publication. References should be given when necessary. Upto two photographs can be accommodated if appropriate and tables will occasionally be allowed. Full address details of all authors as well as an e-mail address for the corresponding author should be supplied and will be published.

Submission of manuscripts

Submission to the Journal of Veterinary Research Advances proceeds online via the following link:http://jvra.org.in . After Login, Authors will be guided step-by-step through uploading files directly from their device. Electronic DOC proofs will be automatically generated from uploaded files and used for subsequent reviewing.

Authors are invited to suggest the names of 2 reviewers (with their e-mail addresses) whom are qualified to evaluate their submission. Such names do not, however, imply that they will definitely be used as reviewers.

Authors should send queries concerning the submission process or journal procedures to: www.jvra.org.in and can check the status of their manuscript within the publication process using the editorial manager of Journal of Veterinary Research Advances. Submission of an article is understood to imply that the article should be original and not already published in or simultaneously sent to be published elsewhere. Submission also implies that all authors have approved the paper for release and are in agreement with its content.

Ethics

Manuscripts describing any experimental research on animals should include a statement of approval by the Ethical Committee of the institute where the work was done, mentioning that the study was carried out according to the legal requirements of the relevant local or national authority. Before papers describing animal studies are accepted for publication in the Journal of Veterinary Research Advances, the authors must convince the editors that the work conformed to appropriate ethical standards. The care and use of experimental animals should comply with ethical guidelines and policies.

Plagiarism

Plagiarism is globally recognized as a serious academic offence. As part of our commitment to the protection and enhancement of the peer review process, editors assist the scientific community in all aspects of publishing ethics, especially in cases of (suspected) duplicate submission or plagiarism. Manuscripts will be checked with the online plagiarism software to ensure content originality. Manuscripts with remarkable similarity will be returned to the authors.

Manuscript preparation

Review article: There is no specific format for review article. Refer latest published review article from www.jvra.org.in for general format of the review. Minimum 50% references must be from past five years.

Research article:

Title page: The front page should include the title of the manuscript, full names of authors and their institutional affiliation(s). The address for correspondence, including the name of corresponding author, position, address (institutional affiliation, city, zip-code and country), telephone and fax number and e-mail address, should be given.

We follow double blind peer review process. So, please do not include author name and affiliations in manuscript file. However, you have to include in step of submission.

Keywords: 3-6. It should be in alphabetical order.

Introduction:It should be in three or more paragraph. Second last paragraph should contain the significance of the research and last paragraph should contain aim of the study.

Materials and Methods:

Ethical approval: It is compulsory when you use any live animal for research/study or collect the samples from live animal. Consent should be obtained in case of human samples or information.

Study area: Include map of study area if it is larger and include many region/country.

Animals:

Experimental design:

Tests, procedures etc.:

Statistical analysis:

You may add or delete the subheading as per your research.

Results: This section should contain results of your research. Give subheadings if necessary.

Discussion: This section should contain Discussion of your results. Compare your results with previous year studies (give preference to last five year studies). Discuss the factors responsible for your results. Give subheadings if necessary.

Conclusion: This section should contain extract of your results. Please do not repeat the results data of your research here.

Acknowledgement

All persons who do not qualify as authors should be acknowledged and their particular contribution described. All sources of funding for the reported work, for all the authors, must be acknowledged. Both the research funder and the grant number (if applicable) should be given for each funding source.

Conflict of interest

At the end of the text, under a subheading “Conflict of interest statement” all authors must disclose any financial and personal relationships with other people or organizations that might inappropriately influence or bias their work.

References: References section must include all relevant published works cited in the text in alphabetical order, starting with the first author’s surname and numbered consecutively. Journal title should be abbreviated. If the referenced article is written by one author, it is cited as (Kumar, 2020) in the text. If written by two or more authors, it must be cited as (Kumar and Singh, 2020) and (Kumar et al., 2020), respectively.
Here are four examples of the referencing style:

Tables: Include all tables in seperate file during menuscript submission.

Figures/graphs etc.: Please do not include figures in Word file but upload the PNG/JPG file of each figure in submission site step. However include figure caption in word file.

Authorship

No changes of the authorship including addition, deletion, or rearrangement of author names are possible after acceptance of manuscript.

Author declaration certificate: It could be downloaded from home page of website and be submitted necessarily with all required information at the time of manuscript submission.

Proofs

Electronic proof will be sent in Word/PDF format to the corresponding author to check for type setting accuracy. Page proofs are considered as the final version of the manuscript. At this stage, except for typographical or minor corrections, no changes or additions are permissible. Corrected proofs should be returned to the publisher within 72 hours of receipt. It is important to ensure that all corrections be sent in one communication.

Publication Charges

Journal of Veterinary Research Advances is Open Access journal. Article processing fee is not charged, however some nominal publication charges allow the publisher to make articles immediately available online to readers.
